The Rules
Effective 7 October 2026
Face2Face works when people feel safe enough to show their face. These rules apply to everyone, every chat. Break them and you can be blocked without warning.
- 18+ only. No one under 18, on camera or off it. If someone looks underage, skip and report them.
- Keep it clean. No nudity, no sexual acts, no sexual content, and no sexual comments or requests. Keep your clothes on.
- Respect people. No harassment, bullying, threats or insults. No hate against anyone's ethnicity, tribe, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.
- You can be recorded. Anyone you talk to may record, screenshot or stream the call, and by pressing Start you accept that. Don't show or say anything you wouldn't want shared. Using a recording to harass, blackmail or deceive someone is still banned and gets reported.
- No scams, no money talk. No begging, romance scams, fake investments, “send me money” or fraud of any kind. No selling, advertising, spam or links.
- Be real. Show your own face on a live camera. No pre-recorded videos, pointing the camera at a screen, fake camera apps or pretending to be someone else.
- Keep private things private. Never share someone else's personal information, and be careful with your own: no home address, phone number, workplace or bank details.
- Nothing illegal or dangerous. No violence, weapons, drugs, self-harm or anything against the law.
- Don't game the system. No bots or scripts, no flooding the site, no false reports, and no coming back on a new connection after you've been blocked.
If someone breaks the rules
- Skip straight away. You never have to stay in a chat.
- Report them. A snapshot of both screens goes to our safety team with the reason you choose, and you're moved on to someone new. False reports break rule 9.
- For anything urgent, such as a threat to someone's life or a child at risk, contact the police. In Nigeria, call 112.
What happens when the rules are broken
We review reports and can warn, limit or permanently block anyone, on any device or connection, without notice. Serious cases, including anything involving a child, threats or fraud, are reported to the authorities.
Stay safe
- People aren't always who they say they are, or where they say they are.
- Never send money, airtime or gift cards to someone you met here.
- The person you're matched with can see your IP address (your rough location and internet provider). Use a VPN if that worries you. More in our Privacy Policy.
- Anything you show can be recorded by the other person, and that is allowed. Don't show anything you wouldn't want shared.
