FACE2FACE Start chatting

Terms of Service

Effective 7 October 2026

The short version

1. Agreeing to these terms

Face2Face (“Face2Face”, “we”, “us”) runs the random video chat service at face2face.ng (the “Service”). By pressing Start or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Rules. If you don't agree, don't use Face2Face.

2. You must be 18 or older

Face2Face is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if that's higher) to use it. By using the Service you confirm that you are. If we believe someone is under 18 we will end their access and may report the matter to the authorities.

3. What Face2Face is

Face2Face connects you with another person, chosen at random, for a live one-to-one video chat. You can skip to someone new at any time. You can tell us your gender and where you are, and choose who you'd like to meet (by gender and by place); we use these only to try to match you, and we don't guarantee who you'll be matched with or that any match fits what you chose.

Video and audio go directly between your device and the other person's device (peer to peer). We set up the connection but we don't record or store your calls. Because the connection is direct, the other person's device can see your IP address; our Privacy Policy explains what that means.

We don't check who anyone is. People on Face2Face may not be who they say they are, and their gender or place may not be what they selected.

4. Your safety and your responsibility

People are unpredictable. The people you meet may behave badly, and they alone are responsible for what they do. You alone are responsible for what you do, show and say on Face2Face.

5. Rules of conduct

You must follow our Rules. In short, you must not:

6. Moderation and enforcement

When you report someone, a snapshot of both video screens is taken at that moment and sent to our safety team with the reason, along with the connection details described in our Privacy Policy. We review reports and may also use automated tools to detect abuse.

We can warn, limit, suspend or permanently block anyone, from any device or connection, at any time and for any reason, including breaking these terms or the Rules, without notice. Moderation isn't perfect and we can't catch everything; we're not responsible for content we don't remove.

We cooperate with law enforcement. We report suspected child sexual abuse material and credible threats to the relevant authorities, and we may share information with them where the law requires or allows it.

7. Sponsors and advertising

Brands can buy a banner slot at face2face.ng/ads or contact us about sponsoring Face2Face. Ads are labelled, checked before they run, and can be removed at any time. We're not responsible for third-party products, websites or offers.

8. Our content and yours

The Face2Face name, logo, website and software belong to us. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell them, or use our brand, without our written permission.

You keep whatever rights you have in what you show and say. You give us permission to transmit it to the people you chat with and, when someone reports you or you report someone, to keep and review the snapshots and details described in our Privacy Policy.

9. No guarantees

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that you'll be matched with anyone, or that anyone you meet is who they say they are, is where they say they are, or will behave well. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Face2Face and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of data, profits or reputation, arising from your use of the Service or from anything another user says or does. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim and ₦10,000.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you did on Face2Face or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

12. Stopping

You can stop using Face2Face at any time; if you have an account you can delete it or ask us to. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it, at any time. Sections 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 keep applying after you stop.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you on the site (and by email if you have an account) before it applies. If you keep using Face2Face after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to sort it out. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, except where the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
